General Information

TERMS & CONDITIONS

e-llinika provides General Greek and Exam Preparation Greek courses online (via the Internet) and face-to-face. The courses consist of 90-minute long teaching units (lessons) for individuals or groups of 2-8 students. e-llinika provides professional certified native teachers.

First meeting

You are entitled to a free and non binding meet-and-greet meeting, in order to accommodate with the online environment, and get acquainted with the teacher, or let the teacher assess your pre-existing skills.

Technical requirements

Before the first lesson you are required to properly install Skype or Cisco WebexTM on your computer. In order to be able to participate in our lessons, you have to create a Skype or Webex account and add our teacher to your contact list. Our teacher is happy to assist you in doing this.

Before each lesson, you will be receiving an invitation by the teacher for entering the meeting room on Webex. This can be achieved by clicking on a link sent by our teacher in an e-mail prior to the lesson.

A broadband internet access is required to ensure the quality of the sound and the video. In case of slow internet connection (poor audio/video quality) our teacher may ask you to switch off the camera to achieve better audio quality.

Payment and fees

All fees and transactions are in Euros, unless otherwise agreed. You have the following options:

a) you can pay monthly (end of each month) the completed lessons, or

b) you can pay 10 or 16 lessons in advance. By payment in advance you save 10% and 15% off the sum of standard rates. The actual fees are published on the website of e-llinika.

If you choose to prepay a course package, these lessons must be completed within one year of the payment date.

Payments shall be arranged with the teacher or via the e-llinika.com website using Bank or PayPal services. By making the payment you accept the Terms and Conditions of e-llinika.

For bank transfers outside of Greece, Germany or Austria the course fee is charged plus an interest of 3-5EUR (bank fees).

Cancellation

If you are unable to attend the lesson in the pre-agreed time, you have to give notice 24 hours before the scheduled time. If you cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours' notice or miss it, the lesson is to be considered as if it was completed.

The termination of the online lessons is considered as force majeure in any of the following cases:

  • extremely bad audio quality,
  • disruption of the Internet services on any sides of the lesson,
  • simultaneous disruption of the services of Skype and Webex.

In case of force majeure, if more than 30 minutes are completed, the whole lesson will be considered as completed.

If you decide to terminate your course and will not attend the rest of the prepayed lessons, the standard price of the completed lessons is to be deducted from the paid fee and the remainder is to be refunded. No refund is made if you have completed 60% of the prepaid lessons.

The teacher reserves the right to terminate the course in case of continuous cancellations and lack of interest on the part of the students. In that case applies the above mentioned procedure, too.

Release of projects

Students' digital and written projects can be used by e-llinika as templates for teaching and/or advertising purposes. The students' first names will always be mentioned, according to copyright laws.

e-llinika cannot be at any time held responsible for any damage caused by the performance or inadequacy of the services of any third party (e.g.: Internet, Skype, Cisco Webex).
